Welcome to the Swedish Public Works Association (SPWA)!
SPWA was founded in 1902. Its purpose is to promote development, training, cooperation and information in most aspects of public works. SPWA includes personnel from local, county, state/province, and federal agencies as well as representatives from the private sector.
SPWA is organized in six committees representing different areas of public works.
One of our most important activities is providing seminars and courses. The calendar on our web site gives you up-to-date information on our upcoming activities (in Swedish).
We have our own magazine, Stadsbyggnad, published six times per year. While most articles are written in Swedish you can also find articles written in English. You can access the magazine online at stadsbyggnad.org.
SPWA believes in international collaboration. For example, we are active members in the International Federation of Municipal Engineering (IFME) www.ifmeworld.org/home and Nordic cooperation committee of municipal engineering (NKS).
